This is the shortest vertical piano. The music rack is higher than the top. These pianos can be up to 38 inches tall.

The top of this piano is a little higher than the music rack. It can be 38 inches to 43 inches tall.

Studio

The top of this piano is slightly above eye level. Its height ranges from 44 inches to 49 inches tall.

Upright

This is the largest vertical piano, sometimes called an Upright Grand. It can be 50 inches and taller.

Grand

Grand pianos range in size from slightly under 5′ to 9’6″. The size is determined by the distance from the keys to the curve, as the image illustrates. All Grand pianos are about the same width across the keys.
